WHOIS

Availability of data on registered .rs domains

Through the WHOIST base, RNIDS will always make available at least the following data on registered .rs domains:

  • domain name
  • date and time of domain registration
  • date and time of the last modification of data on domain registration
  • date and time of domain registration expiry
  • name of the registrar responsible for the domain
  • current domain status (active, deactivated, in a dispute, in an arbitration procedure, etc.)
  • DNS servers for the domain

Conntact details:

  • if the Registrant is a person: name and surname, place of residence, administrative and technical contact
  • if the Registrant is a business or an entrepreneur: business name, location, personal ID number, PIB [Tax Identification Number], administrative and technical contact

Because of data privacy, certain contact details will not be publicly available. These details depend on whether the Registrant is a person or a business.
Through the WHOIST base, RNIDS will make publicly available at least the following contact details for each registered .rs domain, unless the Registrant activates protection of contact details:

  • If the Registrant is a person: name and surname
  • If the Registrant is a business or entrepreneur: business name, location and personal ID number

If any interested person submits a written request for contact details for a particular .rs domain, RNIDS is obliged to submit this data within three days from receipt of the request.

At the Registrant's request for protection of contact details for an .rs domain, RNIDS is obliged to disable availability of this data.

What is protection of contact details?

Protection of contact details (WHOIS protection, WHOIS privacy) is a service which disables availability of contact details on the publicly available WHOIS base. That practically means that your contact details, such as name and surname (for persons) and business name, location and personal ID number (for businesses) will not be publicly available.

Why should I activate WHOIS protection?

This service is suitablel for persons and organisations who do not want to reveal that they are owners of certain registered domains. It can be used by companies which register a domain for their new campaigns or products if they do not want to reveal who is behind these before the official publication.

RNIDS charges for the activation of this service according to its current Price-list.

RNIDS is obliged to enable access to all data on .rs domains registered within rsTLD registry to the authorised state authorities, in accordance with the law or a court decision brought in accordance with the law.
