At the end of last year, the Basketball Federation of Serbia initiated an extensive humanitarian project called “Basket for Kraljevo" aimed at collecting assets for those affected by the earthquake in Kraljevo and its vicinity.

The campaign was joined by the entire basketball organisation with approximately 15,000 members (basketball players, trainers, referees and clubs), from the youngest to the oldest ones, coming from all regions of Serbia and abroad. Through basketball matches and numerous events, they gathered assets to help Kraljevo.

During the “Basket for Kraljevo” campaign, a total of 543,593.01 RSD were collected and donated to the heavily damaged elementary school “Svetozar Marković”. Apart from financial aid, the Basketball Federation of Serbia also donated 50 basketballs.

The humanitarian campaign was finalised on 15 April and the Basketball Federation of Serbia handed in thank you letters to all participants as a means of acknowledging their contribution to the “Basket for Kraljevo” campaign.

The Serbian National Register of Internet Domain Names (RNIDS) also supported the “Basket for Kraljevo” project. More information on www.koszakraljevo.rs.
