Changing registration details for a .rs domain name
The registrant, or the person authorised by the registrant, submits a request to change registration details for a .rs domain name to RNIDS through the accredited registrar responsible for the .rs domain name. RNIDS must activate changes to the .rs domain name details within no more than 24 hours of confirming that the request to change .rs domain name registration details has been received.
Changes to registration details for a .rs domain name are registered when RNIDS enters the changes into the WHOIS database of the rsTLD registry. RNIDS has the right to change all details of an existing .rs domain name on the basis of a legally binding judicial decision, the final decision of an arbitration council in disputes concerning .rs domains or if the change is necessary for maintaining the technical stability of the Internet.
Renewing the registration of a .rs domain name
The registrant, the administrative contact or the technical contact may submit a request to renew the registration of a .rs domain name to RNIDS through the accredited registrar responsible for the .rs domain name. RNIDS must renew the registration of a .rs domain name within no more than 24 hours of confirming that the request to renew the registration of a .rs domain name has been received.
It is also possible to renew the registration of a .rs domain name before its expiry, but the maximum total number of years for which a .rs domain can be registered for 10 years.
When the registration period expires, RNIDS deactivates the .rs domain name. After an additional 30-day redemption period, the .rs domain will no longer be registered. If the registrant renews the registration during the redemption period, the start of the renewed registration is counted as the first day after the expiry of the previous registration period.
Transferring a .rs domain name between accredited registrars
Accredited registrars must give the registrant the right to choose another accredited registrar for an .rs domain name which the registrant has registered or renewed. The accredited registrar must cooperate with the registrant, the new accredited registrar and RNIDS during the .rs domain name transfer process.
Transferring the registration of a .rs domain name
A registrant may submit a request to transfer the registration of a .rs domain name to a new registrant to RNIDS through the accredited registrar responsible for the .rs domain name. Alongside the .rs domain name registration transfer request, the original registrant must also send the accredited registrar a document confirming their identity and a certified statement confirming that they agree to transfer the rights to the new registrant and authorising RNIDS to carry out the transfer. RNIDS must activate the .rs domain name registration transfer within no more than 24 hours of confirming that the request to transfer the registration of the .rs domain name was received.
